What are the benefits of Kooshy Bands compared to regular headphones?

They can even be worn whilst sleeping due to the thickness and softness of the fabric...they can be pulled down to cover eyes whilst still listening to the audio. 

6. Noise Isolation: The thick fabric allows for some noise cancelling , allowing kids to enjoy their favourite content without external disturbances. At the same time, they are still safe for little ears with a volume limit of 90dB. 

7. Portability: Kooshy Bands are easily portable, making them ideal for travel, car rides, or on-the-go entertainment for kids, as they can be conveniently packed and carried in a backpack or travel bag. (they'll even fit in pants/jacket pocket). 

Can you provide an invoice for NDIS?

Of course! We are frequently asked to provide invoices to assist with NDIS claims. 

How long does postage take?

Regular Post - please allow 4-6 business days for shipping, plus time for processing your order. (WA, NT & FNQ please allow additional time). 

Express Post -please allow 1-2 business days for shipping, plus time for processing. (WA, NT & FNQ, please allow additional time).

Priority Express- your order will 'jump the queue' and be prioritised and dispatched via Express Post on the same business day if ordered before 12pm AEST or next business day if ordered after 12pm AEST.  

NOTE: The above times are estimates only and can be affected by many factors. If your order is urgent, please email us prior to placing your order and await confirmation from us to ensure that we are able to process your order quickly. Please ensure that you choose Express Post if urgent. We are unable to change your order to Express once it has been processed or refund your order should it not arrive in time for its purpose.
 
International Orders - please allow up to 20 business days for regular post and up to 15 business days for express post. NZ is usually within 10 business days for regular and 5 business for express. 

For international orders you may be required to pay custom and import taxes when the order arrives in your country. 

Authority to Leave:

All orders are automatically ticked with ATL (authority to leave) with Australia Post. If you do not wish for your order to be left unattended, please make a note of this under "order notes". (PLEASE WRITE 'NO ATL'). 

What if my order is taking longer than the quoted time?

If your order has not arrived within our delivery timeframe, please check your email confirmation for the tracking number and contact Australia Post if you are concerned. 
Australia Post experiences delays from time-to-time that may effect our estimated shipping times. Please click here to check current estimates and delays (note we ship out of the Gold Coast, QLD. ). Please be aware that delays caused by the carrier are out of our control and that you should contact them directly if your tracking shows that your order has already been picked up from us. 

What is "processing time"?

Processing time is the time it takes for us to pack and send your order which can be affected by the number of orders there are to process, or other factors. In peak times this could be up to five business days. As always, if your order is urgent, please email us (and await a response) prior to placing it, so that we can be sure that we can process it in time for you. We recommend that you choose Express Post if you require the headphones for an upcoming trip or event. 

How many decibels is the range? Are they volume limiting? What are the benefits of this?

Kooshy Bands have a volume limit of 90dB. Benefits of this limit include:

1. Hearing Protection: The primary benefit of volume-limited headphones is protecting children's delicate ears from excessive noise levels. The 90dB limit ensures that the volume is kept at a safe level, reducing the risk of noise-induced hearing damage.

2. Age-Appropriate Sound: Kids have more sensitive hearing than adults, and their ears are still developing. Volume-limited headphones help maintain an appropriate sound level that is suitable for their age, preventing potential harm caused by high volume exposure.

3. Prevention of Accidental Volume Increase: Children may unknowingly increase the volume to dangerous levels if given unrestricted control over their headphones. Kooshy Bands remove this risk by capping the maximum volume output at a safe level, preventing accidental overexposure.

4. Focus on Content: By limiting the volume to 90dB, children can still enjoy their favourite audio content with clarity and sufficient volume for a quality listening experience. They can focus on the content without the need for excessively loud volumes that can be detrimental to their hearing health.

How do I measure my child's head size?

Use a tape measure and wrap around the head, across the ears as pictured below. Kooshy Bands are adjustable/stretchy and will fit head sizes 54cm - 72cm. Usually for 3 years +. 

How long is the battery life once fully charged?

The battery life is approx. 12-13 hours. 

How do I know whether my Kooshy Bands are fully charged?

To charge, we recommend removing the charging speaker (the one that has the small charging hole/opening and charging externally. When charging a red light will appear. Once fully charged, the light will go off and you will know that your headphones are fully charged and ready to go. 

NOTE: You can charge by leaving the speaker inside the headband and inserting the charger through the small charging hole. Charging takes 1-2 hours when flat. 

Will Kooshy Bands be compatible with my device?

Kooshy Bands are compatible with all Bluetooth enabled devices including iPads, iPhones, Samsung phones and tablets, Android etc. 

Can Kooshy Bands be plugged into non-Bluetooth enabled devices such as the older plane systems?

Some of the newer aircraft have Bluetooth capability for their inflight entertainment therefore which will comment to your Kooshy Bands. Alternatively you can purchase a Bluetooth Adapter that will turn any outlet with a speaker outlet into a compatible your Kooshy Bands device. 

Can you wash them?

The headbands are washable, but you must remember to remove the speakers from the headband first. 

Are they waterproof?

The speakers are not waterproof. Should you need to wash the headband, you must remove the speakers first.

Can you talk hands free through the headband?

Yes. Our headbands also contain and inbuilt microphone so you can talk hands free! 

Can you use multiple Kooshy Bands on the one device?

No, BlueTooth only allows you to connect one device at a time.
